To see the Arch of Titus, you need to pay a fee to get inside the Roman Forum. Once you’re inside, you are then able to see the arch and many other historic landmarks.

What is the Arch of Titus history?

The Arch of Titus was built between 81 to 85 AD by Emperor Domitian. The arch was built as a tribute to Emperor Domitian’s older brother, Emperor Titus after he died. The arch also commemorates the military triumphs of Titus and Vespasian, their father.

The Arch of Titus is said to have had some influence on the design of the famous Paris arch, Arc de Triomphe.

What else can I see at the Roman Forum?

The Roman Forum is filled with many other historic landmarks you can see. The Roman Forum was once used for day-to-day life and many important events in Ancient Rome. The site held gladiatorial battles, public speeches, and it even served as a marketplace at some point. Today, the Forum is filled with ancient ruins and a whole lot of history.
